Yes. This.
Tomás and the Library Lady / Tomás y la señora de la biblioteca by Pat Mora, illustrated (beautifully) by Raul Colón. Sad that I haven't read it till now, but glad I finally caught up.

Conducted my first workshop this morning: Goals: Set, Track, and Meet Them in 2012 (and Beyond!). Lots to learn about presenting, but I enjoyed it. I get to make a goal-setting spreadsheet as a followup for participants. Yup, I said "get to."
Shhh, Don't Tell...
...but my reward for finishing the workshop (besides making a spreadsheet) is to watch the rest of Tudors Season 4 tonight. He's on his last wife, who -- spoiler alert ;) -- survived him, but there's still a good five episodes left. It's going to be an awesomely late night.
Question of the Day
How many books did your last trip to the library yield?

4 ate pie:
I want to take your workshop!
I told the workshop attendees about you! In saying that a goal statement should begin with an action word, then specify how many, what, and when/how often, I gave the example of "Complete 1 sketch study every day." I told them about your blog because I was also pushing online tools like blogs as ways to stay motivated.
It's so true, I feel accountable to the blog, one inwhich I self imposed, which is kind of funny, but it works. I like that I have these mini deadlines---the end of each day. It really has been a fantastic experience. Where did you give your workshop?
I really like the format of your blog and look forward to your next posting.
I'm a member of SCBWI - Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. I became the regional advisor in September. I don't have to speak at every meeting, but decided to give a session on goal-setting for the new year. We don't have a permanent home; I gave the talk at a library branch. I'll send you the resource guide and spreadsheet from it.
