Yes. This.
A post by writer Tricia Clasen featuring a video interview with Markus Zusak, author of The Book Thief. The most meaningful quote for me from the interview: "Half of writing a book is just forgetting that there's even a world that exists beyond the book."
But Not This.
Local "Occupy Wall Street" protesters with no cohesive message...who don't exhibit evidence of a plan beyond complaining...who decry corporate greed but use smartphones to keep in touch with their movement...and who walk through parking lots and public restrooms with bare feet. They could be actively building a vibrant, self-reliant community that doesn't need large corporations. Instead, many show neither direction nor common sense.

Shhh, Don't Tell...
...but I used some half & half from the company fridge, and I wasn't the one who bought it. I will bring in a new carton when I bring the milk I want for tea.
Question of the Day
What will you be doing one hour from now?

6 ate pie:
Hopefully reading a few pages of my current book, (Birthmarked, a YA novel that I've only just started but it's pretty good so far) before I fall asleep! Likely, reading a few sentences of said novel before I fall asleep :)
Stole some half&half from the company fridge? Sounds like the you're headed down the slippery slope toward being one of those free-loadin' Occupy Wall Street (or Occupy Kirkwood?!) protesters...Does Dave need to plan an intervention?

Ommmmm! I'm gonna tell!
M:)
S - I fight sleep so hard when I'm reading - not willing to leave teh story yet.
K - Bought my own milk last night. The real intervention needs to be between me and the muffins at the cafe where I write.
M - :)
Oh gosh what a great post. An hour from now I'll be doing the "kid shuffle" and hopefully loving every minute of my longest day of the week. :)
Hope you're enjoying your day, Tricia!
