Kate gives us a great prompt this round:
Books are ________ .
Books are glitches in the space-time continuum. Tesseracts. TARDISes. They're how I experience all those periods and places and events I wasn't (or won't be) around for. Through books I can steep my senses in sounds, smells, sights, flavors, and sensations I can't easily find here and now. No surprise that I lean toward historical, fantasy, and science fiction whether I'm reading or writing. :)
Check out Cole's response from yesterday, then visit Michelle tomorrow for next round's topic.

What a great way to put it!
I like how you filled in the blank. Have a great weekend.
Love how you said, "tesseracts." A Wrinkle in Time was one of my all-time favorite books, and where I learned this term and started to dream...
Coming at the end of the chain and you still managed an awesomely unique answer. Love it :)
Sandra - they're definitely my time machines.
Medeia - thanks!
Amanda - there are some funky animations of tesseracts at that link.
Cole - that's the challenge, right? :)
Oh man. I clicked on your Wikipedia links for Tesseract and TARDIS... but I still am not exactly sure what those words mean. However, I still get the general idea of what you are saying and completely agree! Great answer!
Kate - I think a tesseract is theoretical geometry, but in A WRINKLE IN TIME, it's the portal through which the kids leap through time. A TARDIS is a portal, too, used by Dr. Who. I was cheeky using that reference because I don't watch Dr. Who. :)
