So I have this banana bread recipe I lovelovelove. Really moist, super banana-y.
A few weeks ago, I wanted to make a dozen muffins with it, so I cut the recipe in half. Then I discovered I had only 1 cup of the 1.5 cups banana needed. To make up the difference, I chopped some prunes to a mash. The results were muffins with just as much banana flavor and moistness, with added dark, plummy sweetness. So good I've made them several times since. Try them! I want to make them w/ Ladybug next week; I'll try to take photos to post the shenanigans.
A few recent goodies from Dave:
Fresh spring rolls loaded w/ veg, plus sides...
Homemade bread-and-butter pickles...
Happy weekend, everyone! If you have a favorite muffin recipe, feel free to link in the comments...

Heritage bacon sammich may also need to be on the menu for your visit!
Definitely, though I'd recommend toasted whole grain sandwich bread -- biting into the demi-baguette meant smooshing my sandwich. Too difficult. Also: let's use more mayo.
Um... YUM! Love the idea of using cucumber ribbons in place of lettuce. Too bad only one of my cucumber plants sprouted. Maybe I need to get my behind to the farmer's market to buy a couple of starters before it's too late.
Our most productive cucumber plants are English cucumbers -- long and thin, sometimes curved, very few seeds. Very fast growers!
Oh bread and butter pickles, I could eat a whole jar every day! Another group of great food pictures :)
I know what you mean -- my grandmother made the best B+B pickles -- edible by the bucketloads. :)
Made the BACT for dinner, following your instructions, and you officially have my endorsement! Thanks for the great idea. Another delicious meal courtesy of the Morgans!
Yummy, right? Next time, I'd have it on just wheat toast - the hardness of the baguette caused too much squishing.
Glad you liked!
