There was a bit where Ernie painted a portrait of Bert and he had a beard. My mom says that she came into the room to find me screaming.
I don't think that was supposed to be the intended result. ;)
All the Spanish I know I learned from Sesame Street - which admittedly isn't much but it's something!
I also remember used to make burritos using Oscar Meyer bologna as a tortilla and shredding Kraft singles for the filling. There was this segment where a family ate them or something and I was fascinated. I had never seen Mexican food before!
Looking at it now helps you appreciate it all the more. All the exposure to different languages and cultures. Such a great show.
