OK, that's a big claim. Stuff You Should Know? Who are they to say? Who made these guys the captains of the knowledge boat?
But then you start listening and realize it's Stuff You Want to Know, or at least Stuff You Want Josh and Chuck to Tell You About, because they crack you up.
Part of the How Stuff Works network, the podcast (available free through iTunes) is hosted by Josh Clark and Chuck Bryant and addresses a wide range of topics. (They also have a blog.)
Things I've learned from Josh and Chuck:
In a Rhode Island nursing home, there's a cat that may be able to predict death.
One of three body farms (forensic anthropology labs) in the U.S. is in San Marcos, about 40 miles from my house.
Twinkies were originally banana-cream-filled, and Hostess made that flavor available permanently in 2007.
Spontaneous human combustion exists, dude.
Saying "Ponzi scheme" with a bad Italian accent never gets old.
The podcast seems to have new episodes every 4-7 days, and has a huge archive of past eps. I've burst out laughing more than once at work, and it wasn't the inherent humor of my grant proposals that did it.
Highly recommended!
