Revision Ho!

Using the cool space Dave made me to organize revision round #2 on JACK.

I usually use a spreadsheet to do this but wanted to try a physical method (using paper kinda gives me the heebies, but I'll recycle it). Chris and I use Track Changes to... track changes... in the manuscript. Cool feature, and yes, I am a latecomer to the Word party.

Are you a physical reviser or a digital reviser?

Ooooo preppy! I am not writer o.b.v.i.o.u.s.l.y so I am sure you are not interested in my thoughts but IF I wrote I could see myself thinking or tinkering on paper and then attempting to integrate digitally where it would evolve even more - step 1 - step 2. I've taken upteen Word classes and used the track changes on contracts before but between uses I always forget how to do it.

Ah, contracts -- I bet Track Changes are good for those. And if by preppy you mean OCD, then yeah :D And I definitely had a pink + green outfit in the 80s, so yeah again.

Very very cool. I'd love a big board like that to plot on! Actually, I would just love an excuse to use post-its like that! :)

Have you ever used Scrivener? You could use the card function on that program and save some post-its, if you're worried about that.

It's a piece of metal roofing - how cool is that?

Isn't Scrivener Mac-only? I'm Windows. :)

Oops, no go for Windows! But on the Scrivener page there's a link to an equivalent PC program.

Your desk looks great. When I was visiting you Dave was telling me all about how he was going to put it together.

I miss you- I've been thinking about your books lately and can't wait till I can brag about them at Barnes and Noble.

Reading- In the Woods- Pretty good mystery-ish book. Adult fiction

This is awesome. I should totally get one of these for manuscripts I'm working on.

It's half of a galvanized steel roof panel - available at Lowe's. How cool is that?
