Snickerdoodles

These cakey, cinnamon-sugar-coated cookies remind me of Elementary school...

You'll need:
cookie sheet(s)
parchment paper/silicone pan liners
0.5 c raisins
2.25 c flour
2 t baking powder
0.66 t salt
1 c sugar
0.5 c shortening
1 egg
0.25 c milk
1 t vanilla
coating (2 c sugar + 2 T cinnamon)

Now do this:
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Line your first cookie sheet.
Soak the raisins in hot water.
Combine flour thru salt, set aside.
Cream sugar + shortening.
Add egg.
Add milk + vanilla.
Add dry ingredients, stirring 'til incorporated.
Drain raisins, add to mixture.
Scoop (#40) or spoon into coating mixture.
Bake 8-10 minutes.
